Religion in America is as diverse as its population. There are majority of people in America who are Christians. However, America is more diverse and has more freedom of religion. Three of the world’s main religions are known to be Christianity, Islam, and Judaism. With similarities between these religions, there also comes differences.Three of these religions are all very similar in ways that they believe in monotheism, but their differences in characteristics and history is what makes them different from one another. Although they are the three main religions in this world, there are other religions that continues to grow in the United States such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and many more religions that have been adapted into this world with its growth in population.
Islam
The word “Islam” means “Submission to Allah (God)” and to acquire peace in one’s soul. We have reaffirmed for many years that the United States is not and will never be at war with Islam. “Islam teaches peace,” said Barack Obama. This is a call for all of the Muslims in America to come out of the shadow for their blames and to join the political movement in America, in ways that the American political parties can also be diverse in its population.
After the incident in September 11, 2001, the whole nation took Muslims and Islam and created this religion as terrorism. Is this true? Can the nation prove that Islam creates terrorism in this world? As stated in the book of Islam, “the Qur’an” never teaches a person to kill innocents or harm any living stereotypes, it only teaches the word of love and peace, but most people who are uneducated or disagreed with the teaching of Islam take the lesson from the Qur’an in the wrong way and harm the human beings and considered themselves to be a true Muslim.
Labeling the whole Muslim brotherhood as terrorists makes it look terrible to the world. If that is the case, why do some Americans think Islam creates terrorism? There is nothing that the Muslims can do to change the people of other religions and the whole nation to think that Muslims are choosing the wrong path because Muslims has put up with this false alarm for a very long time. The only thing that matters and what Muslims can only do is to come together as one, to surrender to God’s will and to keep each other in (Du’a) supplications.

Buddhism
Buddhism is a non-theistic religion that practices the overall body of thoughts that was proposed by their follower Siddhartha Gautama, known as Buddha who was awakened and enlightened himself. This religion was adapted into the world 2,500 years ago and Siddhartha started and taught Buddhism in the eastern part of Indian subcontinent and the western countries. Most part of Asia, specifically Southeast Asia practices Buddhism and about 300 million people practice this religion in America. Buddhism also forms its religion through Hinduism ritual and practices with some similarities and differences.
Many people considered Buddhism as a religion ‘way of life’’ but more of a philosophy because it is the ‘love of wisdom.’ Buddhist ideas appear in New Age religions, psychology, and the medicine of meditation. Buddhism as a religion is all about leading a moral life, mindful of one’s actions and to be astray from attachments and suffering from materialists, believing in yourself, and an obligation to do good upon others, which we are supposed to do everyday, and some examples that buddhism teaches are meditation, chantings, good deeds, charity and the most important is the four stages of enlightenment.
